The Jessica Mathers Trust (JMT) was founded by Jannet and Stephen (Jessica's Parents) and Anna (Jessica's Sister) in memory of Jessica who died, aged thirteen, on 2nd March 2007 in a road accident.
The aims of the JMT are firstly to support people who are struggling with life, particularly when this is due to homelessness, a premature bereavement or the challenges of adolescence. Secondly to help develop the local community in Deptford and to protect and sustain the wider natural environment. The main charity we are currently supporting is Bench Outreach, a charity based in Deptford, SE London that engages with homeless people in the Lewisham area. We also make individual grants to other charities in support of our aims.
